Yofunochimori (夜深血命) is a character that has yet to make a formal debut in Deep-Sea Prisoner's creations. He is the mediator at the border between Kumo-no-Kuni and Ne-no-Kuni, responsible for mediating between angels and demons. Any fighting is forbidden in his presence. He is also currently missing from the character page.

Physical Description

Yofunochimori has light gray hair, animal ears, and a fluffy tail. His eyes are gold, and his teeth are jagged. He wears a formal style of dress consisting of a black suit and tie. Atop his shoulders rests a cape with a fluffy gray collar and two dog heads reminiscent of Cerberus. He also has two traditional Japanese Asian knots as chest ornaments. The outside of his cape is dark gray whereas the inside is red. It also has a slit in the middle for his tail. On his head rests an old-fashioned military cap with Satanick's logo on it. Surrounding him are golden orbs.

The meaning behind his hand gesture is "a secret."

Personality

Yofunochimori has been seen with a snarky expression in an artwork. He is a smooth talker and good at persuading his opponents. It has also been said he only lets people he trusts touch his ears. He does not like sweets very much but does enjoy peaches. Yofunochimori tends to go both ways in terms of violence and passivism, either being highly violent and messy in his methods or non-confrontational. However, he leans slightly more to the side of hands-on, messy violence, placing near the bottom right of the violence chart.

Background

Not much is currently known about Yofunochimori's background. Yofunochimori's species has not been revealed either, only he is not a dog, even though his species has dog characteristics. Deep-Sea Prisoner has said she might create a new species category for him on her website in the future. It is also unknown what Yofunochimori's "position" is; however, he favors Satanick despite having to remain impartial. What this alludes to is currently unknown.

Relationships

Satanick

Satanick and Yofunochimori are acquaintances and “close in many ways,” having shared relations with each other. Satanick "bottoms" for Yofunochimori. Given Yofunochimori's position, he should remain impartial. However, he favors Satanick. Satanick or his subordinates go to Yofunochimori to handle big issues. This will be described more in Decem -Anges et Demons-. Satanick's logo can be seen on Yofunochimori's hat. More about their relationship is currently unknown.

Taffy

Taffy and Yofunochimori are acquaintances. The two have a somewhat strained relationship. Taffy once made an offhanded comment towards Yofunochimori, "Which one is being bought off? You're the devil's dog." In turn, Yofunochimori calmly responded, "Which one of us is really a dog? You're the puppet of Fumus." Yofunochimori then invited an enraged Taffy to a board game on the condition that the winner could order the loser to do anything. Yofunochimori was the winner.

Trivia

• "Mori," as seen in Yofunochimori's name, means "forest" in Japanese and "to die" in Latin.
• Yofunochimori's design and name were first revealed in a Twitter artwork on the 11th of April, 2022.
• The pose and white fan (sensu) appearing in Yofunochimori's first artwork are reminiscent of rakugo. Rakugo is a traditional form of Japanese comedy, where a seated storyteller uses minimal props to tell a comedic story.
• Although his exact height is unknown, Yofunochimori is a little shorter compared to Satanick.
