Syura (シュラ) is a character that has yet to make a formal debut in Deep-Sea Prisoner's creations. She is a fiend and the daughter of Hidou and Linaria Purpurea. She first appeared on 2016/06/09 in Log 58.
Physical Description[]
Syura has raceless white skin and nadeshiko pink-colored eyes. Her long thistle hair has celadon accents and is worn in four braids. Her braids are furthermore tied by purple and green bows with eyeballs attached to them. Her halo is composed of various differently colored eyeballs; optical nerves that stray down from the halo connect the eyes together.
Syura, overall, has the appearance of a schoolgirl. Her attire consists of a dark olive green seifuku with thin white stripes. She wears loose white socks and uwabaki. Oftentimes, she is depicted wearing her father's lab coat.
Personality[]
Syura is innocent and energetic but has a terrible side that kills angels. [2]
Background[]
Syura was born from Hidou and Linaria Purpurea, presumably in Ne-no-Kuni. Not much else is currently known about her past.
Appearances[]
Up to this day, Syura has only appeared in some of Deep-Sea Prisoner's illustrations. Deep-Sea Prisoner has said she would like to draw Syura and her parents in a future manga. [3]
Relationships[]
Relatives[]
Hidou[]
Hidou is Syura's father. They are on good terms. [3] Deep-Sea Prisoner hopes to possibly make a future story about them. [3] Hidou gave her the labcoat she is typically seen wearing. [1] He also reads books to her as shown in a Skeb commission. Syura takes more after her father than her mother Linaria. [4]
Linaria Purpurea[]
Linaria is Syura's mother. They are on good terms. [3] Deep-Sea Prisoner hopes to possibly make a future story about them. [3]
Abilities[]
Natural Abilities[]
- Nigh-Absolute Immortality - Being a fiend, Syura cannot die from natural causes, such as disease and aging. [5]
- Multiple Eyes - She has the ability to see through the eyes composing her halo. [6]
- Weaponized Halo - Her halo can suck an opponent's blood and cause the death of angels. [2]
Trivia[]
- Deep-Sea Prisoner has currently not officially stated what Syura's name is derived from, though it bears resemblance to the Buddhist term "Asura" (असुर) which generally refers to "evil spirits, demons, and enemies of god."
- It also bears resemblance to "shura" (修羅), which either refers to the previous term "Asura," or carnage.
