Templates & Pages that Dicate the Okegom Wiki's Appearance

This page contains an overview of templates and behind-the-scenes pages that dictate the Okegom Wiki's appearance.

Templates

Templates are pages that are created to be used on other pages, such as infoboxes or notices. An overview of templates can be found in the navigationbox (navbox) below. Clicking on the name of a template will lead to the template page, where typically a documentation page can also be found which explains the template's function and usage.

Appearance

The Okegom wiki has a variety of different page-dependent backgrounds, background colors, link colors and infobox colors. These cosmetics are regulated using MediaWiki pages, which are coded using CSS.

Importing

• MediaWiki:Fandomdesktop.css has the following functions:
  • All .css pages have to be imported in the Fandomdesktop.css page to function on the wiki. This can be done by adding a line of code like the others.
  • Contains railmodule settings
  • Changes the wiki's standard font and adds custom fonts
  • Customizes certain aspects of the wiki (eg. tabbers, articletabs, etc.)

Backgrounds & Colors

• MediaWiki:Backgrounds.css customizes the backgrounds and background colors of pages that deviate from the default background
• MediaWiki:LinkColors.css customizes link colors of pages (dependent on their background)
• MediaWiki:DefaultInfobox.css customizes the shape of all portable infoboxes on the wiki
• MediaWiki:InfoboxCustom.css sets custom portable infoboxes for pages (dependent on their background)

(Note: The default Photon background is set on the MediaWiki:Fandomdesktop.css page. However, the default link color is set using the theme designer. When changing the default link color in the theme designer, remember that it has to be changed for both the light and dark theme.)

Various

• MediaWiki:Wiki-navigation sets the top navigation of the wiki
• MediaWiki:ProfileTags sets profile tags
• MediaWiki:Usernames.css sets custom username link colors for staff members
• MediaWiki:Community-corner sets the community corner in the sidebar of the wiki
