Mogeko Castle (モゲコキャッスル) is Deep-Sea Prisoner's first game, developed in RPG Maker. It was released on the 1st of April, 2012. A remake was released in early 2014. Currently, the original is only available in simplified Chinese.
Premise[]
A schoolgirl named Yonaka Kurai arrives in a castle inhabited by Mogeko after falling asleep on the train home. She spends majority of the game escaping the castle with her guide and partner Defect Mogeko.

Chronology[]
No foreknowledge is required to play Mogeko Castle (Original), and it does not have any prequels. It is currently unclear how the game exactly fits into the timeline of Deep-Sea Prisoner's works.
A spinoff sequel of Mogeko Castle has been in the works, called General Hashasky's Great Adventure. The sequel will continue from Mogeko Castle's Normal End.
Gameplay[]
The original Mogeko Castle is explored using arrow keys. Confirming an action can be done with the Z key, canceling out of an action can be done with the X, and returning to the main title screen can be done with the F12 key. In contrast to the remake, the original Mogeko Castle contains a combat system and RPG component.

Yonaka Kurai is the main protagonist of Mogeko Castle. She is a highschool girl who accidentally ends up at Mogeko Castle when she aboards a Mysterious Train. | Defect Mogeko is the deuteragonist of Mogeko Castle. He was cast out by the other Mogeko and serves as Yonaka's guide. | ||
Mogeko are main antagonists in Mogeko Castle. - On the fourth floor of the castle, the background shows a Mogeko holding a Mogeko while surrounded by Mogekoels; this painting is in reference to the Virgin Mary holding the Christian Messiah Jesus Christ.
Cameos[]
- Nataka Kurokawa and Imika Yuhjima make an appearance on the train in the beginning of the game.
- A letter written by Sullivan addressed to his daughter Olivia (Kurotsuno) can be found on the first floor.
- Kurotsuno, Hanten, and Met, the main characters of Deep-Sea Prisoner's other work Obsolete Dream, all make cameos throughout the game.
- In the hospital on the fifth floor, the waiting room to the left shows a Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea anime on the TV, with Syakesan, Wadanohara, and Fukami.
Trivia[]
- The seventh ending in the remake of Mogeko Castle, "Fictitious Truth," does not exist in the original game.
- In the original game, the bonus room was accessible in the items menu and could be interacted with at any time.
