Kumo-no-Kuni (雲の国, Land of Clouds) is the overworld of Ne-no-Kuni. The god of this world is Fumus.

History

Nothing is currently known about Kumo-no-Kuni's history, besides it was presumably created by Fumus. Deep-Sea Prisoner has also stated the worlds of Kumo-no-Kuni and Ne-no-Kuni are not really connected. However, to reveal any more details would be "spoilers." [1]

Politics

The angels of Kumo-no-Kuni are in battle with the demons of Ne-no-Kuni. The precise reasons behind this have yet to be revealed. They fight each other unceasingly. They are never in harmony and live blood-soaked lives at will. [2] The angels of Kumo-no-Kuni are not weak and currently have the upper hand in the conflict. [3] [4] There have been some instances where reckless demons were hurt, defeated, or killed by angels. [3] However, the angels often fall for tricks by the demons. This is because the angels are gullible, while the demons are more cunning.

Culture

Deep-Sea Prisoner has said Kumo-no-Kuni and Ne-no-Kuni do not have many significant differences in science, technology, or architecture. However, there is a difference in culture, which she did not elaborate on at the time. [3]

Education

While there is no formal school, [5] Taffy is a teacher [6] who teaches his students how to deal with demons [7] among other things. [5]

Residents

Climate and Cosmology

As seen in artworks, Kumo-no-Kuni contains vast meadows, rainbows, and an unknown city on a floating island. Kumo-no-Kuni also has fog-filled cliffs with a lush meadow above it. [2] The sea is said to be gloomy and enclosed in darkness. [2] The blue of the sky is unnaturally clear and dark clouds are clad in a white veil. [2]

Locations

Hospital-Like Facility

It has been mentioned in a livestream Kumo-no-Kuni contains a hospital-like facility. Currently, its only known employee is Aes. [8] Linaria Purpurea is said to have been an employee of the facility as well prior to being kidnapped by Hidou. [8]

The employees of the facility are said to be attempting to "cure" something that is not a disease. [8] What they are attempting to "cure" is currently unknown.

Trivia

  • Kumo-No-Kuni's name was revealed during Deep-Sea Prisoner's 22nd livestream. [1]
  • It is difficult to find one of Satanick's novels in Kumo-no-Kuni. However, they may end up there if snuck over. [9]
