Gokuen (獄炎) is a character that has yet to make a formal debut in Deep-Sea Prisoner's creations. He is Heller's father.
Physical Description[]
Gokuen has raceless white skin and red eyes, on which he wears square glasses with black rims. His long white hair is tied into a ponytail by a black ribbon and has a wispy quality to it, flowing almost like smoke. He also wears a black kimono with gray obi. He has a kiseru as well.
Personality[]
In terms of physical strength, Deep-Sea Prisoner explained Gokuen is in a different category than the gods but quite strong. [1] Not much else is currently known about his personality.
Background[]
Gokuen was the ruler of the Yōkai World[Unofficial term] [2] before retiring. The reason he retired was because he wanted to pass it onto his daughter Heller. [3] He also had a battle with Satanick in the past which he won. [4] Not much else is known about his background.

Up to this day, Gokuen has only appeared in some of Deep-Sea Prisoner's illustrations.

Heller is Gokuen's daughter and successor.

Satanick[]
Satanick used to share an affinity with Gokuen. [5] Satanick had a crush on him for a while, but after Gokuen dumped him, they had a falling out and fight. [6] Satanick thought it would be easy to defeat Gokuen, but he was viciously defeated by him. [4] Satanick is usually the stronger of the two, though for "some reason" he lost. [6] Losing to Gokuen has since been a memory Satanick wants to forget. [3]

- Nigh-Absolute Immortality - Like most non-human characters in the Deep-Sea Universe, Gokuen cannot die from natural causes such as aging or disease. [7]
- Flame Magic - Gokuen is seen manifesting flame magic in an artwork.
Trivia[]
- "Gokuen" means "hellfire" and/or "prison flame" in Japanese. [8]
- As of the 17th of September, 2017, Gokuen was moved up to the Devil's category on the character page.
- He is one of only 16 characters to wear prescription glasses.
- In an illustration Gokuen is seen as the head of a Hyakki Yagyō also known as the "Night Parade of One Hundred Demons."
