Sea Kingdom

The Sea Kingdom (海帝国, Kai Teikoku) is located in the Blue Sea and one of the main settings in Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea. It is currently ruled by Uomihime.

History

The Sea Kingdom was created by Satanick to make his world more lively. He created Aounabara to rule over the kingdom, but Aounabara did not want to rule it as he was afraid of the sea. Satanick then created Meikai from a star to accompany Aounabara, and the sea that was once filled with darkness became illuminated with light.

Meikai grew up and eventually fell in love with a Moon Spirit. When Aounabara found out, he became jealous and casted a curse on the Moon Spirit. The incident caused Meikai to cry for the first time, which made Aounabara fall into deep despair before eventually trusting the throne of the kingdom to his eldest daughter Uomihime. Mikotsuhime felt jealous that her father chose her elder sister instead of her and waged war against her. She created her own faction of the Sea Kingdom called the Sea of Death in an attempt to seize the throne by force. Many years went by as the Sea Kingdom fought the Sea of Death until Meikai sacrificed his life to seal away the Sea of Death and its residents. Meikai's sacrifice formed the Cast Pearl, a pearl with an appearance similar to the moon which also protects the Sea Kingdom.

During the time Wadanohara is away at sea, the Totsusa Kingdom invaded the Sea Kingdom and shattered all the barrier stones protecting the kingdom. Uomihime's court sends Wadanohara to repair the impaired barrier points. Wadanohara and her familiars quickly and easily fix these stones. A banquet is then held to celebrate the successful repair. Soon after, the Totsusa Kingdom returns with Totsusa Soldiers invading the kingdom and endangering the kingdom's residents. The feud between these two kingdoms officially ends when Uomihime hugs Totsusahime, reassuring her that she cares for her. Realizing her error, Totsusahime retracts her soldiers, officially terminating the war.

However, as peace seemingly returns to the Sea Kingdom, the ambassador of the Sea of Death finally appears - a fate once foretold by Meikai. This ambassador is revealed to be none other than Syakesan, a trusted employee of Uomihime's court. Syakesan had stolen the Sacred Sword from the kingdom's grasp and initiated war between the Sea Kingdom and Totsusa Kingdom. Syakesan breaks the Cast Pearl, and the entirety of the Blue Sea becomes red and garish, reminiscent of the Sea of Death. After much trial and fighting, Wadanohara finally confronts Syakesan. He ends up stabbing her and retreating through the barrier badly injured. Samekichi soon follows Syakesan into the Sea of Death to put an end to it all. This leaves Wadanohara distraught, and the Blue Sea returns to its original state.

Old Sea

The Old Sea is behind Sea God Castle. It is off-limits to citizens and secretly where the gate to the Sea of Death is. It is also the location of one of the six Barrier Stones Wadanohara and her familiars mend.
