Bis (ビス) is a supporting character in Obsolete Dream. She is a deity and friends with Reina.
Physical Description
Bis has an Anubis-like head with yellow eyes and a single piercing on her right ear. Her hair is black with blue streaks and tied loosely with a red ribbon. She also has fair skin and a black furry tail. Her outfit of choice is a black seifuku with a sailor-esque collar, sleeve cuffs, white socks, and black boots. She carries a was-sceptre with a red ribbon tied around the base as well.
Personality
Bis is described as a short tempered and easily angered, but despite her appearance, she is actually quite a pure girl. [2] She uses the personal pronoun "atashi" to refer to herself. [3] Bis is shown to become provoked when teased about being a dog, as she denies she is one. She has also shown to be the skeptical and curious type, questioning Hanten's strange relationship with Anten and Kurotsuno's fascination with the full moon. She likes playing video games. [4] Her ears and tail are sensitive spots. [5] Her favorite food is jerky. [6]
Background
Bis is a species closely associated with death. [7] Not much else is currently known about her past.

Reina
Reina is one of Bis' friends and housemates. Reina usually teases Bis, calling her "too stupid" after losing a match of Othello against her in Obsolete Dream chapter 1 and making fun of her stiff facial expressions in chapter 5 . Bis in turn gets immediately irritated by Reina's remarks, threatening to even punch her on one occasion. They are on friendly terms nonetheless.
Kurotsuno
Kurotsuno is one of Bis' friends and housemates. In chapter 1 of Obsolete Dream, Kurotsuno impaled Met and Bis in order to break up a fight between them. Unlike with Met, Kurotsuno does not make a habit out of being violent with Bis.
In chapter 5 of Obsolete Dream, Bis displays curiosity about Kurotsuno's odd behavior around the full moon but decides against approaching Kurotsuno about it when Met strongly advises Bis not to.
Hanten
Hanten is one of Bis' acquaintances and housemates. They have not been shown directly interacting, but it has been said Bis is afraid and a bit uncomfortable around Hanten. Bis has also expressed skepticism about Hanten and her past on more than one occasion. In chapter 5 of Obsolete Dream, Bis makes an off-handed comment about not understanding Hanten's way of thinking. This is later returned to in chapter 8 , when Bis inquires Met about Hanten and her unexplained connection to Anten.
Met
Met is one of Bis' friends and housemates. They are on relatively friendly terms, with Met using the nickname "Bisbis" to refer to Bis. Met also has a habit of teasing Bis by for instance calling her "doggy," which annoys her. They have been seen hanging out and playing video games together.

Sibuna is Bis' master [8] whom she shares a strong resemblance to. They have been shown together in an illustration. Not much else has been disclosed about their relationship.

GriRea is Bis' master. [9]

Natural Abilities
- Nigh-Absolute Immortality - Like most non-human characters in the Deep-Sea Universe, Bis cannot die from natural causes such as aging or disease. [10]
- Was-sceptre Wielding - She is shown wielding a was-sceptre in her character portrait and supplementary illustrations.
Trivia
- Bis is based on the Ancient Egyptian god Anubis, who was the deity of the dead and embalming and the protector of tombs and cemeteries. He also judged souls after their death and helped guide them into the afterlife.
- Her name comes from the last three letters of Anubis. [11]
