Fiends are a type of species in Deep-Sea Prisoner's works. They are hybrids between an angel and demon. There are currently 4 named fiends, all of whom reside in Ne-no-Kuni.

Etymology

"Tenma" (天魔) is the term used to refer to angel/demon hybrids in Ne-no-Kuni. It comes from a combination of the Japanese words "angel" (天使, tenshi) and "demon" (悪魔, akuma). Deep-Sea Prisoner has said the in-world term for the species' name varies depending on the world.

Physical Characteristics

There is less of a pattern in the appearance of fiends than with other species. However, many of the fiends seen have a varying halo of some sort based on their design. Certain halos may also possess certain abilities. For instance, Syura is able to see through the eyes composing her halo.

Biology

Reproduction and Creation

The creation and reproduction of fiends may vary. Higan has been confirmed to have created an unnamed daughter through asexual reproduction by breaking off a part of her own body.

Social Behavior

Fiends have advantages against both demons and angels yet frequently take the side of demons. They are strong, as angel and demon attacks do not work against them.

• The category "fiends" was added to Deep-Sea Prisoner's website on the 10th of May, 2022, thus grouping "tenma" with that term.
• All non-human characters in the Deep-Sea Universe are semi-immortal.
