Games

Garden Gray The

Garden Gray The (園庭色灰) is a short spinoff of The Gray Garden. It takes an estimated 16 minutes to complete. [1] The story features the genderbend counterparts of the The Gray Garden characters. It is recommended to be viewed after playing The Gray Garden. The English translation can be downloaded on Vgperson's website at the bottom of the page. No content warnings apply.

Ice Scream

Ice Scream (アイス・スクリーム) is a short game. It is recommended to view Ice Scream after having viewed Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea. The story of Ice Scream features the inhabitants of Iceberg Isle as they go about their daily lives. The main character is an arctic wolf named Shirogane.

There are two versions of the Ice Scream game: the original from 2014, and the remake made in 2020. Both versions have an English translation. The original has three installments that can be viewed in English on Vgperson's website. It takes an estimated 12 minutes to complete in total. The video in the second round of Ice Watching in the original game is unavailable but can instead be viewed on Deep-Sea Prisoner's Youtube channel. The remake currently has one installment, the English translation of which can be downloaded on the Funamusea Translate Blog. It takes an estimated 10-20 minutes to complete. Any content warnings can be viewed on the download page(s).

Mogeko Castle

Mogeko Castle (モゲコキャッスル) is an original game. It takes an estimated 4.4 hours to complete. [2] No foreknowledge is required to play the game. It features highschooler Yonaka Kurai as she tries to traverse a mysterious castle in order to return home.

There are two versions of the Mogeko Castle game: the original from 2012 and the remake from 2014. Currently, an official English translation only exists for the remake. It can be downloaded on Vgperson's website. The content warnings can be viewed on the download page.

The Gray Garden

The Gray Garden (灰色庭園) is an original game. It takes an estimated 8.7 hours to complete. [3] No foreknowledge is required to play the game. The story features a demon named Yosafire and her friends who live in the peaceful Gray Garden. One day however, an unknown enemy appears.

The English translation of The Gray Garden can be downloaded on Vgperson's website. The content warnings can be viewed on the download page.

Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea

Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea (大海原と大海原) is an original game. It takes an estimated 8-10 hours to complete. [4] No foreknowledge is required to play the game. The game features the sea witch Wadanohara as she and her familiars attempt to save the Blue Sea.

There are two versions of Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea: the original from 2013 and the reboot made in 2020. Currently, an official English translation only exists for the original game. It can be downloaded on Vgperson's website. The content warnings are listed on the download page.

The reboot has extra bonus content and a handful of improved sprites, but the overall story remains unchanged. A translation by Funamusea Translations has been in the works, though as of 2023 no estimated release date is currently known.

Manga

Obsolete Dream

Obsolete Dream (廃れ夢) is Deep-Sea Prisoner's first official manga, created in 2014. It is free to read online. An overview of the English translations can be viewed on the Funamusea Translations blog.

Currently, 8.5 chapters have been put out, the release of which is irregular. The series is ongoing, and it is currently unknown how many chapters the manga is set to have. [5]

The manga takes place after Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea. [6] It is not a direct sequel, though it is recommended to have viewed or played Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea before viewing Obsolete Dream since there are various references to the game. The story is set in Ne-no-Kuni and explores the lives of Kurotsuno and her friends as they go about their daily tasks. It is currently akin to a slice of life manga with hints at an underlying story, such as Kurotsuno's past.

Seaside Dispatches

Seaside Dispatches is a manga series. Currently, two volumes have been put out, though they are not continuations of one another and can be read independently.

Seaside Dispatches 1

Seaside Dispatches 1 (砂濱通信 第一號), also known as "Eyes That Cry Out Starved for Love," is an R-18 short manga. The manga is 32 pages long and pay-to-read. It is recommended to have viewed The Gray Garden and The Sun's Curse before viewing Seaside Dispatches 1.

A digital English version is available on DLsite. A physical copy in Japanese can be purchased on Alice Books. A digital Japanese version is available on DLsite and Ambass.

Taking place after the ATTACK! Devil-ish Style mini-comics, Seaside Dispatches 1 goes into detail about the relationship between Satanick and Ivlis and hints at the birth of their son Licorice.

Seaside Dispatches 2

Seaside Dispatches 2 (海に沈む花束 -砂濱通信 二-), also known as "A Bouquet Sinking in the Sea," is a short 74 pages long pay-to-read manga. A physical copy in Japanese can be purchased on Alice Books. A digital Japanese version as well as a digital English version are available on DLsite.

No foreknowledge is required to read Seaside Dispatches 2. The story details how Satanick and Victor Flankenstein met each other, and how Crea Flankenstein was created.

Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea

The Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea manga is adapted from the original game and was published in 2015. It is recommended to have played the game before viewing the manga, as there are events that were cut from the story when converting it into manga format.

The first half of the Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea manga is translated and printed. It has been officially translated by publisher KADOKAWA into English and Chinese. Hard copies can be purchased on Amazon.com. A few chapters in Japanese are also available for free on Pixiv.net.

However, while the Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea manga is completed, KADOKAWA did not print or translate the second half of the manga, also known as the Sea of Death (Shi no Umi-hen) arc. The Japanese version of the second half can currently be read on Pixiv.net for free. Unofficial English fan translations have been created for it.

Animations

Poison Bugs

Poison Bugs (ポイズン・バグズ) is a short animated series about the life of Tsumuri and his friends. Currently, only one episode has been released which can be viewed on Deep-Sea Prisoner's YouTube channel. Its duration is 1 minute and 40 seconds. No content warnings apply.

The Sun's Curse

The Sun's Curse (太陽の呪縛) is a four-minute animation that can be viewed on Deep-Sea Prisoner's YouTube channel. It is recommended to have viewed The Gray Garden before viewing The Sun's Curse. The text can be read in the Youtube captions.

The Sun's Curse is about Ivlis' backstory and his relationship with his father Siralos. The animation has 9 storybook scenes and 2 movie-like scenes.

Artbooks

Halloween in the sea

Halloween in the sea is an artbook featuring various Halloween-based and inspired artworks of her characters. It contains 14 pages, is pay-to-read, and is also available for purchase on BOOTH and AliceBooks.

Mini-Comics

Various mini-comics have been created by Deep-Sea Prisoner. Some of the mini-comics feature characters that have also appeared in Deep-Sea Prisoner's other stories. Other mini-comics feature characters that have currently not made an official debut. Some mini-comics have yet to receive an official English translation.
